Clark County Board of Supervisors Sets Salaries for Elected Positions

-The Clark County Board of Supervisors set the salaries for some of the elected positions in the county.

State statute requires the county board to fix the salaries of their elected officials before each election for the duration of their term. The salary of the sheriff in 2018 was $68,741.48. The board set the salary at $70,006.30, $71,294.34, $72,606.30 and $73,942.18 for 2019-2022 respectively. The board also set the salary for the Clerk of Courts. The clerk received $57,197.93 for 2018. The board set the clerk’s salary at $58,250.40, $59,322.12, $60,413.60 and $61,525.36 for 2019-2022 respectively. Finally, the board set the County Coroner’s salary. The coroner will receive $4,721.60, $4,808.44, $4,897.10 and $4,987.06 for 2019-2022 respectively.

The coroner will also receive a $110 per diem per call up to a maximum of three calls per day, mileage and any cremation fees. Finally, the board approved an amendment to the Clark County Boards, Committees and Commissions Ordinance 2-48.
