2018 Miss Winter Carnival Court Selected

-The 2018 Miss Winter Carnival Court has been crowned.There were four contestants vying for the title including Marie Jorgensen, Morgan Gurney, Kyra Rakovec and Mackenzie Keller. The judging process followed along the same lines as the Miss Neillsville contestants experience during Heritage Days but not as intense and no on stage speech. The contestants meet individually with the judges and were asked a series of questions. During the pageant, they also answered an onstage question that the judges took into consideration. In the end, Kyra Rakovec was selected as the 2018 Miss Winter Carnival and Marie Jorgensen was selected as the runner up. Kyra and Marie will attend various functions throughout Winter Carnival weekend with the Miss Neillsville Court. They'll be assisting with these events and really getting a chance to see what it will be like to run for Miss Neillsville one day.
While the Miss Winter Carnival duties end at the end of the weekend, the hope is that the weekend of activities will inspire more contestants to stay interested in the program as they get older. Next year, Kyra will be invited back to crown the next Miss Winter Carnival.
