Owen-Withee School Board Discusses Legislative Forum

-The Owen-Withee School Board discussed the Legislative Forum at their meeting last week.Each year the Medford School District hosts a Legislative Forum to bring area school boards together with our elected state officials. Charlie Milliren, Angela Greschner, Rick Eloranta, Kim Amacher, Julie Wendler and Dean Schmelzer indicated that they will attend the forum on March 8th. Board member Charlie Milliren presented an idea that was created by the City of Owen and local residents.
Input was sought from board members regarding the district allowing a dog park to be hosted on their property, mainly because of their location between the City of Owen and the Village of Withee. Response to the idea was cool, with concerns expressed over liability and control of the park. No action was taken.
