Spencer's New Grocery Store Opens this Week

-Spencer will have its grocery store back, and open, this week.Great Lakes Foods of Menomonie, Michigan is opening its Great Lakes Fresh Market store in Spencer this Wednesday, February 21st. Door will be open at 9am that day. Gordy’s Market closed a number of stores last year, including Spencer, leaving the city without a grocery store again. With the new opening, it has generated excitement in neighboring communities like Greenwood and Loyal who are also without a grocery store.
Most of the former employees from Gordy’s will be returning to work in Great Lakes Fresh Market including the previous store director.
