Neillsville City Council Hears Public Works Report

-The Neillsville City Council heard the Public Works Report at their meeting on Monday.The usual amount of work was done in the city including cemetery and parks maintenance, snow and ice removal, equipment maintenance, maintain street lighting, cleaning brush and compost, tree removal, filling pot holes and more. The Water Department had its inspection by the DNR and has fixed some minor issues brought up. They’ve also had some issues with equipment at the sewer plant. The Phosphorous Compliance Plan for the city has taken its next step and the city will be work with Xcel Energy regarding the decorations on street light poles.
Some other items of note from the meeting include a resident thanking the council for their work and diligence on the sewer lateral with Memorial Medical Center’s new facility. They also heard an update in regards to Memorial Medical Center’s financial report. Put simply, they’re doing well.
