Greenwood School Board Approves CESA 10 Contract and More

-The Greenwood School Board approved the CESA 10 contract at their meeting on Monday.The board approved the proposed 2018-19 CESA 10 contract. The AGR/SAGE Mid-Year Report was presented to the board as was the impact of the new Intervention model in regards to student success at the MS/HS. An initial discussion about changing the district cell phone policy was held. Discussion will continue next month. Also, the CPI for contracts renewing July 1st of this year is 2.13% and initial discussion regarding the raising of substitute teacher pay or providing other perks was held. Possible changes will be cost-out for further discussion next month.
The board also heard come committee reports. An update on the CESA 10 board was given, highlights of the WASB Convention were shared and the Employee-Relations committee met and began discussions regarding the possible development of a compensation structure. High School Principal Green updated the board on the Afterschool program with the number of participants growing. The elementary school will be hosting a Family Literacy Night on March 6th. Planning is well underway on Summer School 2018. Finally, Mr. Green provided a preview of the February 16th staff in-service day.
