Granton School Board Hears Administrators' Reports

-The Granton School Board heard the Administrators’ Reports at their meeting on Monday.Principal Julie Kolarik stated the Granton High School Juniors completed the practice ACT Test on February 2nd. The students will be taking the test on February 27th & 28th. Granton's Middle and High School students recently enjoyed a great day at Bruce Mound. And Granton High School student Mason Tenant was recognized during the PAWS, Positive Attitude + Work = Success, Celebration by the Granton Fire Department for his actions to save his neighbors garage from burning down. Superintendent Scott Woodington stated the Granton Area Schools 2nd Friday Membership Report showed a decrease of 2 students.
Also, Representative Romaine Quinn and Senator Terry Moulton participated in a discussion on January 26th with area Superintendents at CESA 10 as part of the Blue Ribbon Commission on School Funding. Finally, he stated the Open Enrollment Window is from February 5th to April 30th, the next Legislative Update meeting will be in Medford on March 5th at 6:00pm and the State School Board Education Convention held in January had some great sessions, including one of the keynote speakers, Dr. Bill Daggett.
