Greenwood School Board Approves Donation

-The Greenwood School Board approved a donation at their meeting on Monday.The board approved a monetary donation from Colene and Joseph LaMonica to the elementary school playground project. They also approved the overnight stay at tournament for Girls Softball April 6th and 7th, approved the resignation of Seth Vollrath and approved 3 new volunteers. During the communications portion of the meeting, a community member commented on ways to engage students in various activities. Another community member inquired about compensation/incentive structure plans. Also, Jen Hafermann, a middle school teacher, shared with the board the recent work of the 7th grade students in raising more than $225 for the Wounded Warriors Project.
Finally, Jon Trautman from Schenck provided the board with the annual review of the district’s fiscal audit. The district is in solid financial shape and procedural changes implemented over the past couple of years have significantly reduced the number of corrections required.
