Child Injured by Ride at Thorp Dairy Days

A child was injured by an amusement ride malfunction at Thorp’s Dairy Days this past weekend.

According to the Thorp Police Department, the child was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries around 6:20pm Friday night after the ride malfunctioned.  The ride was shut down after the incident and investigated by the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services.

The Department said there is no reason to believe the ride was intentionally compromised and no arrests have been made.
