The SUV, driven by Person, struck the tractor as they tried to pass and rolled several times. Ley was ejected from the vehicle and killed. Person was taken to the hospital and disappeared briefly after the hospital failed to notify the Sheriff’s Department that he had been treated. Person turned himself into authorities about a week later.
