Tuesday, June 8th, 2021 -- 2:01 PM
Please welcome the Clark County Sheriff's Office's newest team member, Deputy Chwala.
If you see him at his new post as the Courthouse Security Deputy, make sure to say hello. Deputy Chwala said he wanted to apply to the Sheriff's Office because it was a great opportunity for him and his family.
Looking into the future, there are also many great roles and positions at the Sheriff's Office that he may be interested in. Deputy Chwala grew up north of Stanley and enjoyed helping his family on their beef cattle farm in Stanley, and spending time with them.
He also enjoys hunting and being outdoors. As for skills he brings to the department, he said he very much enjoys working with people and helping my community.
He’s also taken CIT, Crisis Intervention Training, giving him a great deal of knowledge when assisting members of the community who may be in a mental health crisis.
Five years from now, Deputy Chwala would like to keep his opportunities open. Such as becoming an instructor in DAAT (Defensive and Arrest Tactics) or firearms.
He would also like to continue assisting the county in creating a single point of entry for the courthouse in his role as the Courthouse Security Deputy. He thanks the Clark County Sheriff's Office for giving him this great opportunity.
