Neillsville Woman Arrested and Removed from City Council Meeting Appears in Clark County Court

-A Neillsville woman who was arrested and removed from a City Council meeting appeared in Clark County Court on Monday.Back in October of 2017, Linda Montgomery appeared before the council to speak against an ordinance that had been passed regarding the use of sidewalks. Montgomery uses a personal scooter and has been seen driving on roads in busy traffic, sometimes with kids on the scooter. She became very belligerent towards the council and mayor, swearing at them and making false accusations. At this point, Neillsville’s Police Chief, and two officers who were present at the meeting because they knew she was coming, escorted her out of city hall.
As she continued to swear, make false accusations and be disorderly, she was arrested and taken to the Clark County Jail. She has been charged with resisting/obstructing an officer and disorderly conduct. She entered a not guilty plea to the charges against her. She’ll be back in court in a couple weeks.
