MACCI Holds Annual Meeting Wednesday Night

(WDLB) -2017 was another successful year for the Marshfield Area Chamber of Commerce and Industry."MACCI" celebrated last year's success, during its annual meeting last night at the Eagles’ Club on South Oak Avenue. The theme was “tools for success”, and MACCI director Scott Larson said the chamber used its tools to give business and community leaders direct access to area lawmakers and legislative events, many programs and events, a wide variety of professional development programs, educational workshops, business recognition and awards events, business networking seminars??"in addition to business-friendly workshops and training sessions. Larson also said 2017 was another busy year for MACCI trying to meet the critical need for qualified workers, a key issue impacting every sector of the economy. And he said it starts at the K-thru-12 education levels.
Larson said MACCI’s many tools for success helped maximize return on investment and provide tangible benefits through the chamber’s advocacy, programs and events, and business and workforce development focus areas. Also last night, Simplicity Credit Union was named as MACCI's firm of the year for 2018, the annual small business of the year award went to Marshfield Insurance Agency, MACCI’s 23rd annual service award went to the late Dan Helwig and Kathy Lotzer of Marshfield Utilities was named as the 2018 leadership Marshfield Alumnus of the Year.
