Clark County Farmers Seeing Abnormally Dry Conditions
Monday, June 7th, 2021 -- 11:03 AM
Some Wisconsin farmers are seeing drought conditions in their fields.
This comes as most farmers' crops have just sprouted and begun to grow. According to a map from the U.S. Drought Monitor, most of the state of Wisconsin is seeing some form of drought including Clark County.
Clark County is seeing abnormally dry conditions as are our neighboring counties of Chippewa, Eau Claire, Jackson, and Taylor. Areas of southern Wisconsin are experiencing moderate drought with a portion of south east Wisconsin experiencing severe drought.
The forecast this week does call for chances of afternoon showers and storms. One silver lining is, as of this morning, even with all of the hot and humid weather, all counties in the state are only under moderate fire danger.
