Administrators' Report at Greenwood School Board Meeting
Friday, January 12th, 2018 -- 8:01 AM
-The Greenwood School Board heard the Administrators’ Reports at their meeting on Monday.District Administrator Todd Felhofer reported on some political items involving schools. The Department of Public Instruction is holding 5 public hearings on the proposed changes to teacher licensing rules and Governor Walker is pushing for an increase in Sparsity aid and raising the low revenue ceiling for school districts. This would have a positive impact on Greenwood. Also, an agreement is in place to maintain the electronic message sign in the former Mayville’s parking lot and ALICE training for students and staff will take place on January 29th. MS/HS registration for 2018-19 will begin in late January.
The district will also be piloting the sending of Board packet/materials electronically. Switching to this approach would provide the Board with the materials more quickly, save paper and staff time. Finally, he mentioned that March 5th is the annual Legislative Evening in Medford.
