Evers To Seek Reelection

Gov. Tony Evers will seek a second term in office in 2022. The governor announced his reelection bid on Saturday during a speech at the state Democratic Party convention.
Evers made the announcement in a speech during the Democratic Party of Wisconsin's State Convention. He says his campaign will focus on building Wisconsin back up. Evers has been serving as Governor since 2019, beating out incumbent Scott Walker. Prior to serving in this role, he was the Wisconsin Superintendent of Public Instruction for 10 years.
Several Republicans are considering running against him.
