Short Agenda at the Neillsville City Council Meeting

-After the approval of the city budget at their previous meeting, the Neillsville City Council had a much shorter agenda at their meeting on Tuesday.The council approved the appropriation of the Listeman/Naedler funds. They also heard the Heritage Days Committee report from November 16th. They discussed possible new events for 2018, heard an update on possible bands, discussed sponsorships and discussed Miss Neillsville events. Finally, they heard the Public Works Report. The usual amount of work was done in the city including cemetery and parks maintenance, equipment maintenance, trimming and pruning trees, street sweeping, maintaining street lighting, filling pot holes, cleaning up stump grindings and more.
They also have the tree removal project on hold until leaf pick up is completed, which should be done by the end of this week. Christmas decorations will be up and energized by the end of this week. They also winterized the fire hydrants and they Sewer Department will be doing some work.
