Neillsville School Board Report

The Neillsville School Board heard the Administrators’ Reports at their meeting on Monday.

Elementary Principal Scott Schiller reported on attendance, Thanksgiving Break, Elementary holiday concert on December 18th, WOW Program at CESA 10 and school closure notices for winter weather. High School Principal Craig Anderson reported on attendance, winter sports in full swing, Schuster Park holiday light display, a thank you note from Mr. LaMont, student recognition for art, academic and career planning, middle school academic support and curriculum reviews. District Administrator John Gaier reported on a thank you from FFA; a new program from CESA 10 and the 2018 Legislative Meeting.

He also reported on an article regarding state aid to area schools, an announcement from DPI regarding voucher enrollments, a third WAEF study, the BadgerNet Conversion Plan and a Wisconsin Taxpayers Alliance announcement. In employment matters, the board approved the resignation of Becky Short from her Fine Arts Club advisor position and the hiring of Ben Perushek for the C team boys’ basketball coaching position and Kyle Friemoth for the middle school wrestling coaching position.
