Owen City Council Report

The Owen City Council heard from residents during the public opinion portion of the their meeting last week.One resident requested the PDC hold a hearing regarding his father’s complaint made against former Owen Police Chief Andrew Schade over a year ago. Another resident said he still hasn’t seen any police on patrol. The council also heard the CDC’s report. Tim Swiggum reported the paperwork for the Heartland rail spur will soon be finalized. Heartland will own the land and is willing to cooperate with owners of adjoining properties. Heartland has started work on the $1,000,000 office building.
The Haunted House had over 1,300 people go through it, the Trail grant was denied and Shear Inspirations’ Ribbon cutting and open house will be held Dec 1st.
