2015-16 School District Report Cards Released

The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction has released the 2015-16 School District Report Cards.

In the second year of report cards that use legislatively mandated growth and value-added calculations, 82 percent of Wisconsin’s public and private school report cards had three or more stars, meaning the schools met or exceeded expectations for educating students. More than 95 percent of the state’s public school districts earned a three-star rating. Taking a look at some local school districts Neillsville, the entire district, scored 66.9 earning a 3-star, meets expectations grade. Neillsville Elementary, on its own, scored a 77.6 earning a 4-star, exceeds expectations rating. The high school scored a 55.7, earning a 2-star meets few expectations rating.

Looking at other districts, Granton scored 68.2, earning a 3-star, meets expectations rating; Loyal scored a 68.5, earning a 3-star, meets expectations rating; Greenwood scored a 77.7, earning a 4-star, exceeds expectations rating; and Owen-Withee scored 65.5, earning a 3-star, meets expectations rating. Thorp scored 68.1, earning a 3-star, meets expectations rating; Colby scored a 71, earning a 3-star, meets expectations rating; and Abbotsford scored 80.5, earning a 4-star, exceeds expectations rating.
