Neillsville Man Charged with Sexual Assault Sentenced in Clark County Court

-A Neillsville man charged with sexual assault was sentenced in Clark County Court on Monday.Randy Magnus was charged with one count of 2nd degree sexual assault of an intoxicated victim and two counts of 2nd degree sexual assault of an unconscious victim for two separate incidences that occurred while he was employed as a male nurse at Memorial Medical Center. Two female patients came forward and said that Magnus sexually assaulted them back in July and August of 2015. Magnus denied having any contact with the first victim and stated the second victim initiated the contact. When this came to light, he was immediately fired from the hospital.
Back in September, Magnus reached a plea deal and entered a guilty plea to the charge of sexual assault of an intoxicated victim and the other two charges were dismissed and read in. He was sentenced to 4 years in state prison and 10 years of extended supervision. He is also required to report as a sex offender, will have to have a sex offender assessment done, participate in any recommended treatment and during his supervision he is not allowed to work in health care or an position involving patients.
