Officer's Report at Neillsville City Council

Friday, November 17th, 2017 -- 10:30 AM

-The Neillsville City Council heard the Officer’s Report at their meeting on Tuesday.

Neillsville Police Chief Scott Klueckmann provided numbers for October. They had 120 complaints, 57 service calls, 89 traffic citations, 102 traffic warnings, 6 crash investigations, 20 ordinance citations, 16 adult arrests, 4 cases referred to the district attorney’s office, 7 juvenile cases and 62 parking citations. These numbers were mostly in line with October of 2016, give or take a few. Some other notable items include two officers attending RADAR training, the October 10th incident where they Neillsville woman was arrested for disorderly conduct at the city council meeting, and the Police Chief is in the process of purging old police records in accordance with public records laws.

Also, during the appearance portion of the meeting, the new owners of Rooster’s Bar stopped in and introduced themselves. They said they’re looking forward to working with and being a part of the Neillsville community. They also want to learn more about the community. They will also provide safe rides from their establishment and are looking forward to working with the police department on any issues that may arise.
