Tuesday, November 14th, 2017 -- 11:07 AM
-The Clark County Board of Supervisors approved an application for a loan needed for more road construction. The loan amount came to $1,800,000. This loan is typically taken out by the county every year in order to do more road construction. Without this loan, the county would only be able to do just under 2 miles of road construction for 2018. With it, they can do about 10 miles of road construction for 2018. This amounts to the county being able to do the same roads almost 30 years before they’re done again. The board also approved the community services and social service contracts resolution. This allows the two departments to provide programs in the areas of mental hygiene, developmental disabilities, social services and more.
The board also approved the county aid for bridge and culvert construction. The approval of the resolution includes the appropriation of the various amounts of aid to the county’s villages, cities, townships and more.
