Man Killed in Colby in Vehicle vs. Pedestrian Accident

-A man was killed in Colby after a vehicle vs. pedestrian accident Monday afternoon.According to the police department, a 73-year-old was riding an electric wheelchair on Adams Street when he went to cross Highway 13, but not in the crosswalk. While he was crossing, he was hit by a van. The man was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead.
Witnesses say that the traffic signal was working and the driver of the van had a green light at the time of the crash. Police said the initial investigation indicates there was no negligence on behalf of the driver of the van.
