Wisconsin's April Commodity Prices

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) -The average price received by farmers for corn in Wisconsin during the month of April was $5.15 per bushel, according to the latest USDA Agricultural Prices report.
According to the Wisconsin Ag Connection, that was 40-cents higher than the March average and $2.05 above the previous April. Soybean prices were $13.80 per bushel, up 80-cents from March and $5.67 higher than last year.
Oats were 16-cents higher for the month at $3.31 per bushel, but fell 28-cents from April 2020. All hay prices in Wisconsin averaged $148.00 per ton in April, down $11.00 from March and $9.00 below last year.
The alfalfa hay price averaged $157.00 per ton, down $15.00 for the month and $7.00 lower for the year. The other hay price averaged $121.00, up $4.00 from March, but down $14.00 from the April 2020 price.
