Marshfield Man Gets Locked Inside Beer Cooler, Helps Himself to Beer

-A Marshfield man was locked inside a beer cooler for several hours earlier this week and helped himself to the beer inside.According to the Marshfield Police Department, 38-year-old Jeremy Van Ert walked inside the beer cooler on the Marshfield Kwik Trip just before midnight on Tuesday. When the clock hit twelve, he was locked inside. While in there, he decided to help himself to the beer and drank an 18 ounce bottle of Icehouse Beer and three cans of Four Loko. He also fell over a stack of 30 packs of Busch Light.
A customer finally noticed Van Ert at 6am. Van Ert then fled the scene, but was later arrested by police. He’s being held in the Wood County Jail on a probation hold from a previous case that required him to remain sober. He’s being charged with retail theft.
