Granton Village Board Hears Clerk's Report

Tuesday, October 17th, 2017 -- 9:07 AM

-The Granton Village Board heard the Clerk’s Report at their meeting last week.

According to the unofficial minutes from the meeting, the sales and use tax for the park was submitted. Quarterly reports for the IRS and Department of Revenue have been submitted. The ATV route signs were ordered and received as was the registration box for the campground. Two bills were sent out for land use and the school pool election. The clerk also worked with Trumark to have Campground Road certified with a legal description so the village can receive road aid in the future. The county required a survey map in order to certify the road so the cost was $733.00. The road is now certified and on file with the county.

Also, the Transportation Aid paperwork was completed and submitted to the state. The village received a $250 donation from the rotary so free camping could be provided for Fall Fest. Finally, during the open forums, some safety concerns were brought up. It was noted that the village employees did not use the trench walls to repair the valves at the tower. Also noted was a new saw is needed to take into the trenches for injury prevention. The saw is $2600.
