Security Health Plan Recognized by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services

-Security Health Plan of Wisconsin, Inc., has again been recognized among the nation’s leading health plans by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services for its Medicare Advantage plans for 2018.The Plan received an overall rating of 4.5 stars in the 5-star rating system that the federal agency uses to rank Medicare Advantage and Part D Prescription Drug plans. Security Health Plan’s overall rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars includes specific ratings of 4.5 stars for health services and 4.5 stars for prescription drug services. For 2018, Security Health Plan is offering Medicare Advantage HMO plan options in three regions covering 50 Wisconsin counties. For the first time these options include a $0 premium plan with Part D prescription drug coverage in each region.
Security Health Plan also offers its Secure Saver Medicare Medical Savings Account (MSA) and Medicare Supplement plans statewide. All plans are designed to improve the quality of care members receive, increase members’ satisfaction with their care and service, and control the cost of care. Security Health Plan is holding free, no-obligation Medicare seminars in more than 60 locations across the state during Medicare’s annual enrollment period (AEP) from October 15 through December 7. The AEP is the only time most Medicare beneficiaries can change their benefits.
