Nasonville Dairy Selected as MACCI's 2017 Firm of the Year

-Nasonville Dairy has been selected as the Marshfield Area Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s 2017 Firm of the Year.

Nasonville will be honored during MACCI’s Firm of the Year Dinner tonight at River Edge Golf Course in Marshfield. Arnie and Rena Mae and their sons, Ken, Kelvin and Kim Heiman, began making cheese for the Dairy in 1965. Today, three generations of the Heiman family continue their commitment to the art of cheesemaking, a blend of nature, science, artistry and tradition to make Nasonville’s delicious and nutritious cheese products. They value perfection and win awards, but their passion also means they never stop learning and creating the best cheeses.

While there are 1,200 licensed cheesemakers in Wisconsin, just 52 of them have achieved the designation of Master Cheesemaker. That is what makes Ken Heiman, who became a Wisconsin licensed cheesemaker by age 16, so dedicated to this craft. As Ken states, “You’re always looking for new ideas, and expect to come out of the Master’s Program better equipped to implement those ideas. From a marketing standpoint, the Masters Mark enhances consumer confidence when they know a cheese has been made by a Master.”
