Greenwood School Board Discusses Health Insurance and More

-The Greenwood School Board discussed a Special School Board Meeting coming up later this month.A Special Board Meeting is scheduled for Monday October 23rd to certify the levy for the 2017-2018 budget. The board also reviewed and approved the Central Wisconsin Area Schools Benefits Insurance Purchasing Cooperative Bylaws and adopted a resolution to authorize the District to participate in a Health Insurance Intergovernmental Agreement for a Health insurance Purchasing Cooperative. Finally, the board approved the Central Wisconsin Area Schools Benefits Insurance Purchasing Cooperative Intergovernmental Agreement and they approved the Cooperative membership fee, which is 1/12 of the annual Health Insurance premium in the form a promissory note. All 12 districts will be approving a similar note.
The board also heard the Administrators’ Reports at their meeting. High School Principal Green updated the board on changes implemented in the breakfast program and the accessible playground project. The plan is purchase equipment this fall and plan for spring installation. They also heard the Committee Reports. Reports were given from Building and Grounds, Curriculum & Instruction, Transportation & Safety, Co-Curriculars, and the Employee Relations committees.
