Main Street Marshfield's 27th Annual Awards Bash

(WDLB) -A teenager who organized a summer concert series downtown is Main Street Marshfield's Volunteer of the Year for 2017.Sierra Jones received the award last night, during Main Street's 27th annual awards bash at the United Way offices downtown. Jones, who turns 18 next week, scheduled and organized various concert and other events this spring and summer at Hardacre Park in downtown Marshfield. Jones was one of seven award winners last night. The others included Diane Gallatin, who was named Main Street's Employee of the Year. Diane works part time in the Main Street office. Marshfield's Young Professionals were given the Main Street Partner of the Year award. The Spirit of Giving Award went to Simplicity Credit Union, which will become Main Street's newest business when it moves into the Thomas House after purchasing the building earlier this year.
The award for Outstanding Business Renovation went to Midwest Tattooers, the former Next Generation Tattoos. And current Main Street Board President Erin Howard was named the Board Member of the Year. And Erin and her husband Chris were named as the parade marshals for next month's Main Street Holiday Parade on November 16th.
