Stanley Area Historical Society Holding an Old-Time Concertina Extravaganza

The Stanley Area Historical Society is holding an Old-Time Concertina Extravaganza on Sunday, October 15th from 12:45pm-4pm.The event is being held at the Holy Family Hall in Stanley. This is a historical and heritage event including a brief history of the instruments, examples of different instruments played, the showing of dance hall ads from area entertainment centers in the 1930’s-1960’s. A dance area is available and there will be up to 15 performers playing solo or duet.
This event is free and food will be available including brats, hot dogs, bars, chips, soda, coffee and water. A free will offering will help defray the cost and if you have any question or would like more information, you can call 715-644-5880.
