Shoplifting Incident at Marshfield Wal-Mart

(WDLB) -A pregnant woman was sent to the emergency room, and a Marshfield police officer was treated for minor injuries, following an incident at Wal-mart Saturday afternoon.According to the Marshfield Police Department, a Wal-mart employee called police around 2:30 Saturday afternoon to report that several people were attempting to leave the store with stolen merchandise. Officers spotted the suspects, and a foot chase ensued. Police were able to apprehend the fleeing thieves.
In the process, a pregnant woman involved requested an ambulance because of stomach pain. She was treated at the Marshfield Medical Center emergency room, and then released. A Marshfield police officer was also treated at the E-R for minor injuries. A male suspect involved was on probation, and was taken into custody.
