Final Committee Reports from Neillsville City Council Meeting

-The Neillsville City Council heard several committee reports at their meeting last week.The council heard the Economic Development Commission Report from September 13th. The commission heard an update on Memorial Medical Center’s new facility project. They also approved their budget and discussed resources for businesses and ways to bring in more businesses. The council heard the report from the Board of Cemetery Commissioners meeting held on September 18th. They discussed how the cemetery looked over the summer and approved their budget of $80,652, which is an increase over last year, but that’s mainly due to the need to purchase a new vehicle.
Finally, the council heard the Library Board Meeting report form September 19th. They discussed an annual conference, replacing some air conditioners, a letter from a resident asking to reinstate his computer privileges, discussed after hours programming, approved the 2018 budget and more. Finally, the council heard a brief update from Neillsville Police Chief Scott Klueckmann. He stated that the Transitions home in Neillsville has decided to close their doors.
