Family Foods Bids on Gordy's Store in Neillsville

-The Gordy’s Market stores and inventory were put on the auction block in Madison on Monday.Winning bids have been announced for the locations. Family Foods bid on the location here in Neillsville for a purchase price of $150,000 plus inventory, Hansen’s IGA bid on the Black River Falls location for a purchase price of $1,550,000, Great Lakes Foods Inc. bid on the Osseo location for a purchase price of $125,000 plus inventory. They also bid on the Augusta location for a purchase price of $100,000 plus inventory. And Settlers Bank bid on the Spencer location for a credit bid of $400,000 plus inventory.
A handful of Gordy’s locations have closed over the past couple months including the stores in Spencer and Stanley.
