Meeting Held in Owen Tuesday Night Discussing Possible Enbridge Pipeline

-A meeting was held Tuesday night in Owen to discuss a possible pipeline stretching through Wisconsin.Residents met at the Woodland Hotel in Owen to hear about a proposed Enbridge pipeline, even though a representative with the company said there are no plans in place to build one. Citizens heard and were able to voice concerns about the pipeline. One of the biggest concerns was the use of eminent domain to take land to build the pipeline.
A representative went on to say that Enbridge is working on upgrading their lines rather than build a new one. The Enbridge Pipeline System sends crude oil from Canada to the U.S.
