Many Fun Events at the Neillsville Public Library

-The Neillsville Public Library has some fun events happening.On Sunday, October 8th from 11am-3pm, during Neillsville’s Autumn Harvest Fest, the library will have coloring and crafts for all ages, book drawings, button making, treats, a book sale and Henna painting. Starting at 5:30pm on Tuesday, October 24th, they library will have after hours readers apps. Adults 18 and older can come in after hours for appetizers from Fannies, great company and a sneak peek at all of the library’s new materials. Check out your items right then, no holds, no wait lists. Sign up in the library. On Wednesday, October 25th starting at 5:30pm, they’ll have card making. Rachel McBride will help you make cards from photos. Patrons are more than welcome to bring their own photos to use. No bigger than 4X6. Again, sign up in the library. On Sunday, October 29th, the library will be open for special hours from 9:30am-11:30am. They’ll have their Haunted Wisconsin with Chad Lewis presentation. Chad will talk about the bizarre history of Wisconsin and strange stories from our past. They’ll also have Adult Coloring on Monday, October 30th.
The Neillsville Public Library is also part of the Wisconsin State Science Festival this year. So, to commemorate that, on November 3rd at 10:30am, they will host a special story hour for kids learning about pond ecosystems. They’ll have stories, crafts, treats and a game for kids to learn about ponds. Then on November 4th at 10am, they’ll have Professor Glen Stanosz of UW-Madison, an expert on tree and forest health, coming to speak about fungi and forest ecosystems. He also studies tree diseases caused by fungi and has provided consulting services for various forest management programs.
