Democratic State Senator Holding Pot Luck on Monday Regarding Next Election

Friday, September 22nd, 2017 -- 8:02 AM

(AP) -Democratic state Sen. Kathleen Vinehout is holding a pot luck dinner to announce whether she's running for governor or for re-election.

Vinehout announced Monday on Facebook that she will make a "special announcement" in Black River Falls on Sept. 25 to speak about the next election and her vision. She does not say in the posting whether she will get into the increasingly crowded Democratic field or run for a fourth Senate term.

Democrats already in the race include state Superintendent Tony Evers, Milwaukee businessman Andy Gronik, state Rep. Dana Wachs, political activist Mike McCabe and recent Stanford University graduate Bob Harlow. Republican Gov. Scott Walker is expected to seek a third term.
