Memorial Medical Center Welcomes New Pediatrician, Part 4

-Memorial Medical Center has welcomed their new pediatrician, Dr. Mary Tornhel.Dr. Tornhel’s first day was on Friday and she continued our interview by explaining what she hopes to accomplish while she’s at MMC.
"I understand there was a pediatrician here and he left to pursue his pediatric interests in Arizona. And when I heard that, it was kinda in the back of my mind to maybe come back and provide those services here. In his absence, the practitioners here have seen children and they are all highly qualified and trained to see children. But there are sometimes when children have complicated medical problems or maybe behavior problems or even just parent preference and they really prefer to see a pediatrician who has more in depth training with just children. So, I'm excited to offer that to people in the community. And I'll be here in the clinic on Tuesdays and Wednesdays with my hours being 8:30am-2:30pm, so we'll start with that. And then I'll be available for consult, when I'm not here, by telephone. And then, based on interest, I'll potentially expand those hours."
Coming up on Friday, Dr. Tornhel will offer her final thoughts about working as MMC’s new pediatrician.
