Clark County Recreational Deputy Offers Safe Boating Tips
Saturday, May 29th, 2021 -- 10:01 AM
It’s Memorial Day Weekend. Are you going boating?
Here are a few tips from the Clark County Recreational Deputy while enjoying your time on the water. Boaters safety is required for all operators over the age of 16, or born after January 01, 1989.
Appropriate type and size life jackets are required for every person on board the vessel including non-motorized canoes, kayaks, etc. Life jackets only work when you wear them.
All passengers must be seated inside the vessel when under power. Be a defensive operator, and expect the unexpected. Navigation lights are required from sunset to sunrise. Special laws apply to PWC's and drive sober.
