Neillsville City Council Hears Committee Reports

-The Neillsville City Council heard the various reports at their meeting on Tuesday.They heard the Public Works Report. The usual amount of work was done in the city including cemetery and parks maintenance, mowing, weeding, equipment maintenance, trimming and pruning trees, filling pot holes, street sweeping, maintaining street lighting and more. They’re also continuing on street repair, construction and repaving. They’re working on painting parking spots, crosswalks and other lines in the city. They also replaced some culverts. Also, during this portion of the meeting, they approved advertising for a Waste Water Plant Operator, which was then approved by the council.
The council also heard the Personnel Committee Report from August 22nd. This was where the idea to hire the Waste Water Plant Operator was mentioned and approved. Finally, they heard the Beautification Committee Report from August 24th. They discussed 2017 decorations for the fall and winter. They also discussed new decoration items and keeping the 2018 budget the same as 2017.
