Friday, September 15th, 2017 -- 9:01 AM

-The Greenwood School Board heard the Administrators’ Reports at their meeting on Monday.

High School Principal Joe Green updated the board on the first week at the Elementary school. He said it was a very smooth week, a lot of positive energy from students and staff. The decision was made to switch from laptop computers to Chromebooks. Chromebooks will provide better user ease and more versatility. Mr. Green also noted that the district now has an official Facebook page. District Administrator Todd Felhofer reported on political items in regards to school districts. He said state budget deliberations continue and the good news is that there will be additional money for schools in the budget.

He also stated that opening day enrollment is 389 students, there’s been an excellent start to the year at the middle/high school, he will be attending an update on the development of the bylaws for the health insurance cooperative next week and the board was provided Policy Update Vol 26 No 1, Tech Policies updates I-III, and food service update for review. The first reading will be at the next board meeting.
