-The Owen-Withee School Board heard the summer project list wrap up at their meeting on Monday.District Administrator Bob Houts told the board that most of the Act 32 and other summer projects are either completed or close to completion. The red door frames in the hallway will receive one more coat of paint, the gym lobby entry will be getting some transition pieces to cover the carpet edge, the two roof areas over the IMC will be completed this fall and the heating controls/replacement will be completed soon.
With employment matters, the board approved the resignation of Ree Nae Roberge-Green from her Jr/Sr High Language Arts position after they were assured she returned her district equipment and paid her liquidated damages. The board approved the hiring of Jackie Kuyoth as the district’s new Jr/Sr High Language Arts teacher and they approved the hiring of Brooke Krause as a teacher’s aide. As there is a need for more aide time to support special needs students and meeting their IEPs, the board approved the hiring.
