Owen-Withee School Board Hears Presentations

-The Owen-Withee School Board began their meeting on Monday with a couple presentations.First, District Administrator Bob Houts introduced the five new teaching staff members who were hired over the summer and they are Jordan Wolff, Sheila Marg, Jackie Kuyoth, Tara Busse and Peter Devine. Mr. Houts also updated the board on the energy savings the district has seen so far as a result of the LED bulb project and the curtailment program the district started this year.
The district is seeing an average decrease in their electric bill of $1,354 per month, which amounts to $1,041 in electric savings and $313 in the curtailment program. This trend will mean up to $16,000 in annual savings. In other business, board members Rick Eloranta, Angela Greschner, Charlie Milliren and Kim Amacher indicated they will attend the WASB Regional meeting on October 26th.
