UW-Marshfield/Wood County Losing Theater Instructor

(WDLB) -A central Wisconsin campus with a long history of theater is losing its full-time instructor in that department.Regional Executive Director and U-W Marshfield-Wood County campus Dean Keith Montgomery has confirmed that Damian Ernest is being reassigned to another two-year U-W College campus. That's not to say that "The Wood" is losing its theater program. Montgomery says that theater courses will be covered in Marshfield through distance education from another location, and directors for theater productions will be hired from within the community, on an as-needed basis.
Montgomery could not confirm, but thought Ernest was being reassigned to the U-W Sauk County campus in Baraboo. Social Media Tuesday was buzzing with speculation, innuendo and uncertainty, in the wake of the news.
