Urgent Need for Blood Donations

-On the heels of the urgent request that came from Texas just two weeks ago, blood donors are now being asked to extend their generosity once again; this time to help save lives in Florida.Through its affiliation with Blood Centers of America, BloodCenter of Wisconsin is shipping 170 donations to Florida and is encouraging donors to schedule appointments to ensure the local blood need can be met, in addition to the assistance they are providing to our neighbors in Florida.
Individuals with O positive and O negative blood are critically important. Tragic incidents, such as the ones that occurred in Texas and Florida, emphasize the critical need of having an ample blood supply to save lives not only in our own state, but for others who look to us for help. Please do not wait for a tragedy to occur. Eligible donors are needed throughout the year in order to fulfill their life-saving mission.
