Judge Denies New Trial Request of Former Neillsville Man Accused of Murdering his Parents

-A La Crosse County judge has denied a request for a new trial from a former Neillsville man accused of murdering his parents.Eric Koula was found guilty of the deaths of Dennis and Merna Koula back in 2012 after the longest trial in the history of La Crosse County. Prosecutors argued that he murdered his parents to claim a substantial inheritance after running into severe financial trouble.
Koula maintains his innocence and requested a new trail, which was denied yesterday. He’s serving two life sentences.
