Jackson County Woman Sentenced for 5th OWI

-A Jackson County woman arrested for her 5th OWI earlier this year has been sentenced.According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, a vehicle, driven Dawn Sprinkle, had been parked at two flashing yellow lights for a large amount of time before she pulled into a parking lot along State Highway 54 in Black River Falls. Authorities conducted a field sobriety test and Sprinkle refused a blood draw. A warrant was obtained and she was transported to Black River Memorial Hospital for a legal blood draw. She was then taken to jail.
Sprinkle was charged with her 5th OWI and 5th operating with a PAC. She was found guilty of, due to a no contest plea, 5th OWI and the other charge was dismissed but read in. She was sentenced to 3 years’ probation with a condition of 6 months jail time. She must also pay a fine of $600, her license was revoked and she must install an ignition interlock device.
