Marshfield Based Disaster Relief Group Heads to Texas

(WDLB) -A Marshfield-based disaster relief group spent part of the weekend collecting donations and planning their next mission.Compassion In Action collected donations of money, bottled water and other supplies on Saturday, and organizer Cathie Shilts says they will be delivered when the group goes to provide Hurricane Harvey disaster relief assistance in La Grange, Texas September 14th. La Grange is located two hours west of Houston. The group will be based at a Lutheran camp. And Cathie says there are two trip options for volunteers--September 14th through 18th, or until the 24th.
She says the group will be gutting houses, tarping roofs and whatever else needs assistance. If someone is interested in signing up for the trip, log on to mycompassion.info for more information.
