July Neillsville Officer's Report

The Neillsville City Council heard the Report of Officers at their meeting on Tuesday.For the month of July, the department had 127 complaints, 65 service calls, 64 traffic citations, 64 traffic warnings, 2 crash investigations, 11 ordinance citations, 20 adult arrests, 4 cases referred to the district attorney’s office, no juvenile cases and 60 parking citations. These numbers are mostly in line with July of last year’s numbers.
Some other notable activity for the month of July includes a high speed chase that occurred on July 4th. A 22-year-old Osseo man was arrested, no one was injured, but the Neillsville squad car did receive a little damage. Also, a Neillsville officer will be taking part in the 2017 Fall Drug Recognition Expert School and the department had a quiet Heritage Days.
